MVX+ (Metabolic Vulnerability Index)

An optional lab panel, available on request, that adds objective data to your plan.

What is the MVX+?

The MVX+ is a lab panel that uses nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology to measure a set of biochemical markers, including micronutrient levels, metabolic markers, and markers associated with inflammation.

I order it through Evexia Diagnostics, a lab ordering platform built for practitioners, and the draw is done at a LabCorp location.

You must have access to a LabCorp draw site to run this panel. For many of my clients up here, the

nearest one is far enough away that it is not practical, which is one reason this panel is optional rather than standard.

I am not a licensed physician. I do not diagnose from laboratory results, and I do not use this panel to identify or rule out any disease or medical condition. I use it to help decide which nutritional priorities to address first. If anything in a panel warrants medical attention, I will tell you and refer you to your physician.

What Does It Reveal?

The MVX+ reports on several categories of markers:

Micronutrients, including vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, and fatty acids
Markers associated with metabolic function
Markers associated with liver and kidney function
Markers associated with inflammation
Markers associated with oxidative stress

These are the same categories of markers a physician would recognize. What I do with them is narrow: they help me decide which nutritional priorities to address first. I do not diagnose from them, and I do not use them to identify or rule out any disease or condition.

The panel comes with a full report. You get a copy, and it is yours to take to your physician if you want a clinical read on it.

How I use the results

The panel gives me a set of numbers. What I do with them is narrow and specific: they help me sequence nutritional recommendations, and they give a reference point if we ever want to look at the same markers again later.

That is the whole of it. The panel does not tell me what is wrong with you, and I do not present it that way. Your assessment and our conversations do most of the work. This adds one more input.

Who chooses this

Some clients want objective numbers alongside the assessment. Some want a baseline they can look back on. Some would rather not do a blood draw at all, and that is a completely reasonable choice that changes nothing about the work we do together.

The MVX+ is optional. It is not part of any program, it is not required to work with me, and most of my clients never run one.
